We pay shipping on all orders over $100. For orders under $100, we add a flat $5 shipping and handling fee. Foreign orders (outside the USA) are charged our exact shipping cost and we ship cheapest way unless otherwise requested.

We buy collections of magical props and books. All are in good to new condition and come with the original instructions unless otherwise noted. In most cases, we only have one of each item listed here. As it is sold, we  delete it from the page. Understand that we have been collecting for almost half a century which means we have a warehouse full of magic and we don't even know what all we have. This list is partial. If you need something not listed, email us and ask. Often, even if we don't have it, we can tell you where to find it.  (Of course,  we also buy collections. After all, that's how we get the stuff.)

bulletP1010024.JPG (468158 bytes)IA001 Die Box - professional  Approx. 12"x4"x4" and signed and numbered in a limited collector's edition. It is made from several different woods and is quite attractive. They were sold at the 1998 I.B.M. convention for $400 each. After the convention, there were four left and we bought them at a good price. This listing will be removed when they are gone (we have two left) . The pack of cigarettes in the photo is just to give you an idea of the size. It has the sliding mechanicism and both the die and the fake are made of wood. $249.00

DSCN6843.JPG (197120 bytes) Flower Garden

This is from my own show. A 5 1/2' bare trellis sits center stage. Magician produces a bouquet of flowers from a 36" scarf. Suddenly the bouquet splits in two, becoming two bouquets. Magician places one on the trellis but as he again walks downstage, the other in his hand becomes two. One of these is placed on the trellis. This is repeated 8 times until the trellis (pictured) is now covered with flowers which can now be used as an attractive set piece for the remainder of the show.   Trellis is about 5 1/2' tall and breaks down for flat packing in its own wood case.   Excellent condition, custom made. Flowers are Abbott's. Trellis made by Bud West of Abbott's. Comes with case, Trellis and 8 bouquets of flowers.  $1500.  (Note: Windley's entire illusion show is for sale of which this is one of the pieces.)

DSCN6847.JPG (298411 bytes) Bloodless Surgery Assistant with bare arms sits on stool and places her right arm across table. Real electric buzz saw is turned on and magician slices through girl's wrist, moves saw to the left and cuts through the arm just below the elbow.  Arm is now picked up and removed from table. Upon command, she moves the fingers of her hand still remaining on table.  Arm is replaced and the arm is restored.  Breaks down into two pieces and comes in its own packing case. Saw and motor are real, metal is aluminum piping. This was custom made by Bud West with improvements. Can be performed without the drawer in place. (Although called 'Bloodless Surgery, on our South American tour, we used blood.) $4,800.  (Note: Windley's entire illusion show is for sale of which this is one of the pieces.)

DSCN6849.JPG (345668 bytes)  DSCN6850.JPG (390228 bytes) Haunted Castle  Doll house illusion made to look like a castle. Excellent artwork. Great way to produce and vanish  a ghost. Packs in it own base. Custom made by Bud West. For traveling, entire house packs into the base.$1750.  (Note: Windley's entire illusion show is for sale of which this is one of the pieces.)

DSCN6852.JPG (383558 bytes)  DSCN6853.JPG (328724 bytes) Slot Machine  From a routine in Tarbell by Melbourne Christopher. Pull handle, windows show three lemons and 3 real lemons come out of the coin slot.  Open and show empty. Close and play again. Windows show 3 jackpots, bell rings, flash pot goes off, lid opens and girl pops out. Made of wood covered with brushed aluminum sheeting. Note that the front door opens downward. Flash pot built in lid is operated by girl. Custom made by Bud West. $3600.  (Note: Windley's entire illusion show is for sale of which this is one of the pieces.)

P1010001.JPG (478705 bytes) Tricky Bottles A 'You Do As I Do' routine. You and a spectator each holds a bottle and covers it with a tube. A bit of byplay but each time, your bottle turns upside down while in the tube. Bottles can be exchanged at any time. The routine ends when your bottle turns into a ketchup bottle. (That's not the normal ending but it's the ending for THIS set!)  This is made by Grant Magic which predates Mak magic. Tubes are metal. Bottles are glass. Fine condition. $50.00

diminishcards.JPG (64478 bytes)ES002  Al Baker's Diminishing Cards   Made by Viking-Henchien. These are no longer made because the process was too labor intensive. Effect is that of a fan of cards diminishing several times. A standard effect but this method made for the professional magician. Each card in all the fans are secretly strung together making a perfect fan each time. Gimmick folding the fans are brass. A real pleasure to perform. We have 2 new (not used) decks with instructions. $39.00 each.

Art of Thought Reading by Dunninger. Published in 1962. For the collector. This is a softcover booklet sold to the public teaching how to read minds. It doesn't mention 'tricks' but preports to teach how to actually read minds. It was a promo piece used to convince the public that Dunninger was a legitimate mind reader. 42 pages with photographs. Very rare. $75.00

bulletDusheck's Coin magic. A small hardbound book teaching effects with coins. New condition *$20.00
bulletVisionary Card Effects by Wm. P. Miesel  Small hardbound book teaching unique card effects. $20.00
bulletAB024 Silks - 36" No longer made in this size. Good to cover a side table or throw over a prop backstage so stage hands won't mess with it. We have the following colors left: green, blue, orange and red.  Each $20.00
bulletclownsilk.JPG (71766 bytes)   Rice's 36" Clown Silk  good condition. $50.00
bulletlipstick-new.JPG (58223 bytes)Wandering Lipstick Tubes - New Three brass containers are shown. One rattles when shaken, the other two do not. Magician proceeds to present a Three Card Monty -type routine with the audience guessing which is the rattling Tube. They are never correct as you have complete control over which tube rattles. Comes with instructions. $55.00
bulletlipstick-star.JPG (53829 bytes)Wandering Lipstick Tubes - Star Same as above but manufactured by the Star Magic Company in the 1950's. This is a better set as the tubes are sealed and cannot be unscrewed. They are tarnished but could be polished if you so desired. Personally, I would leave then the way they are. Comes with routine and a leather purse. Quite rare, they still work fine. $75.00
bulletmult candle.JPG (38821 bytes) Lit Multiplying Candles Manufacturer unknown but I believe from India. Decent set although a bit large. In good condition. $20.00
bulletwallet-tannen.JPG (50914 bytes)Card to Wallet - Tannen A selected, signed playing card vanishes from the deck and appears in a zippered compartment of the magician's wallet. This is a good leather wallet and works well. Missing in the photo is a note pad attached to the wallet but we will provide one. Comes with instructions. You must be able to palm a card to present this effect. $60.00
bulletwallet-italy.JPG (51533 bytes)Card to Wallet - Italy This was never a manufactured item. An American magician had these made by a leather company when he was in Italy. It is the finest Card to Wallet I have ever seen; both in working and in the quality of the leather. It is, however, a European wallet which is a bit larger than wallets made in the U.S.A. due to the size of their currency being larger. The selected, signed playing card appears in a sealed envelope in the zippered compartment of the wallet. This is in new condition and we only have one. $100.
bullet101  Acrobatic Matchbox  Not plastic. Made from a real matchbox. Place box in the palm of your hand and is rises up and the drawer opens all by itself. Instructions include the Amedeo Handling.  $4.50
bullet102  Stick-IT  Dumb name for a great prop. This is an invisible gimmick you wear that enables almost anything to stick to your hand and fingers...pens, glasses, a deck of cards, etc.  You can show both sides of your hands before, after and during. Instantly repeatable..  $8.50
bullet103  Mental Logs  Four metal bars with numbers stamped on them. Spectator arranges the bars in any combination Making 4  four diget numbers. You immediately announce the total before he can add them up. There are over 1,000 combinations yet the secret is very simple. Bars are about 2" long by 1/2" square so this can easily be carried in your pocket. Numbers won'trub off as they are etched into the metal bars. $22.00
bullet106  Stage Reel I.T.R.  This is an Invisible Thread Reel made for stage work. $50
bullet107  Rose To Silk  You pluck the rose on your Tux lapel and it becomes a silk handkerchief. Comes with red Silk but you could use white if you prefer. $12.50
bullet108  18" Happy Birthday Silk  Not a trick, just a colorful picture silk with a rabbit, cake and the words 'Happy Birthday". Use as a production item. Nice artwork by P&A Silks. $20.00
bullet110  Handkerchief Ball.  metal, flesh color. Made by Morrisey. No instructions. For handling, refer to Tarbell, Ency of Silk Magic, etc. $18.00
bullet112  Color Changing Knife  Set of three. White knife turns to Black. Comfortable to work but looks like a cheep knife which it is. It will serve you well, however, until you can plop down a couple hundred for a good set. $15.00
bullet113  Half & Half.  Weird. A playing card printed on the back of a business card. Show two, a ten clubs and a five diamonds. Rub the two cards together and now each card has half of both cards. (Yeah, you have to read that again.) Good effect and the front of the cards are blank so you can print your own business card. No gimmicks, it's all in the handling which is explained in the instructions. Enough to give away 2 doz cards (more if you use your computer's printer.)  $12.00
bullet114 Card in Glass by Harry Allen (Daytona Magic)  This is the rising cards done sideways. Several spectators each select a playing card and return then to the deck which is placed in a wine glass. The bottom card of the deck can be seen through the glass. A handkerchief briefly covers the glass and the bottom card is now one of the selected cards. The card is removed and the action repeated with the second selected card appearing, etc. This is easy to perform and can be done under any conditions. You recieve the deck, glass and, of course, instructions. $15.00
bullet116 Spooky Glass Hard to obtain. A clear glass disc about the size of a silver dollar. Spectator selects a card from a deck (Your own deck and force) and an image of the card appears in the glass. This can be immediately repeated with a different card. $20.00
bullet117 Let's Have A Drink Several cards are shown with names of cocktails on them. Spectator's selection is discovered by the magician. Good for a magical bartender. $6.00
bullet118 Magician's Credit Card This must be magic. How many magicians do you know that can actually get a credit card?  Show the card which is laminated in plastic. It has funny stuff so is fun to read.  Spectator selects a card which is returned to the deck. Spectator is given the credit card to insert in the deck and the card will be the one directly above the credit card. Trick fails until it is discovered that the selected card is actualy inside the sealed plastic case with the credit card. $20.00
bullet119 Mark Leveridge Cards On Parade  This was out long before Twisted Sisters and yet it is the exact same effect. Hmmm.Spectator mearly thinks of one of four red backed cards and it turns over in the stack. Same with a stack of four blue backed cards. Easy to perform with the special cards. $20.00

misc 005.jpg (453824 bytes)   VIDEONICS

When VCR's were new, Videonics recorded the leading magicial performers and lecturers of the day. There were 116 total and they sold for $49 each. Many of the magicians are no longer with us: Dai Vernon, Gary Ouellet and many others.

When Videonics went out of business in the mid-1980's, we acquired the complete set and offer them now. We have one of each. They are not copies and come in their original box. Each runs about an hour.

$25.00 each or 5/$100.

Note: We need to get out of the Videonics business. $200.00 brings you all the remaining tapes
