Back when Magic & More was real (when we had a real store with customers), a local magish came up with a really good routine with this prop. He would hold the wand horizontally by the tip and place a 9" red silk scarf across the other end away from his hand. "Watch the handkerchief," he would say, "and I will make it vanish." | Ming Thing Chinese Vase A delicate 6" high blue on white Chinese porcelain vase with which you can perform two effects. First, you can do the 'magic teakettle' in which water poured into the vase changes into silk scarves. (Silks and slush powder not provided.) You can also place the vase into a paper bag and apparently vanish it by crushing the bag. The secret is that the vase and its inner chamber are actually made of thin latex rubber. | CA001 Evaporated Milk A small pitcher about the size of a measuring cup is full of milk which is poured into a paper cone. The cone is unrolled and the milk has vanished. When the audience asks how, you explain that you used evaporated milk. You receive the special pitcher, instructions and a bottle of Oom (a drop in a glass of water makes the water look like milk.
